Overview
I redesigned and developed The Book Publicist's existing website to make its content easier to explore and its presentation feel cleaner and more modern. The client wanted a considered refresh, not a dramatic change. I kept the agency's established identity at the centre while giving its services, campaign work, and credibility a clearer structure.
The Brief
The Book Publicist is a specialist PR agency for authors, publishers, and experts. Its existing website contained a wide range of valuable material: service information, client campaigns, media recognition, testimonials, team profiles, and news. The client's request was to organise and refine that experience, giving the site a clean, contemporary feel without changing it too much.
The Challenge
The key decision was how to improve clarity without making an established agency feel unfamiliar. Different visitors arrive with different goals: an author may need Book PR, a publisher may want campaign support, and an expert may be looking to build authority beyond a book. Each needs to find the right route quickly, while seeing enough proof to trust the agency with their story.
My Approach
I worked with the existing brand and content as the foundation for the redesign. I organised the experience around a simple progression: understand the agency's specialism, explore the relevant service, see examples of its work, and make an enquiry.
The homepage states the Book PR offer immediately and brings the main services into view. A consistent visual rhythm, generous space, strong headings, and the site's teal and gold accents give the pages a cleaner presentation. Media logos, awards, client testimonials, and campaign stories are placed throughout the experience so visitors can assess the agency's credibility as they explore.
I developed the refreshed site in WordPress with Elementor Pro. Service pages provide more detail for each audience; the Book PR page also presents campaign options and routes visitors toward a conversation. The dedicated campaigns section gives individual projects room to tell their story. On the contact page, a structured enquiry form collects the context the team needs to respond to authors, publishers, and experts.
The Result
The refreshed website presents The Book Publicist's breadth of work in a clearer, more modern way while keeping the agency's established character. Visitors can move from the agency's promise to relevant services, proof of experience, and a focused PR enquiry.
